Welcome to one great event, dedicated to one of the most magnificent of all shedu sub-species -KOMAINU SHEDU CAT
This annual event is Christmas and New Year themed and will be running untill middle of January.

   
However this journal is dedicated not only to show itself.
As you remember december and january were selected as special annual komainu months.
Aside from raffles and art sales, that comes with this "special" season, there are two more things that divide komainus and k-crosses in special group until 31 of january.

Any art of k-cross with komainu blood % higher then 24% drawn in period of december - january  will give the cat additional 3 AP  on top of all other AP bonuses.
Secondly, december breeding season
is announced to be special breeding season
 for any komainu, baketora or k-cross cat & baketora-cross
were resulting cubs will have Komainu or Baketora
blood higher than 25%.
That means, that december breeding season equals October special month, but only for cats with komainu or baketora blood.
Don`t forget to mention in your notice in breeding season log that it is
  KOMAINU/BAKETORA BREEDING. 
So that one would be treated  respectivly as special one.

SHOW REQUIREMENTS:

  Shedus:  
Komainu shedus and K-crosses with no less then 25 % of komainu blood
and
Baketora shedus and baketora-crosses with no less then 25 % of baketora blood.

For "Best Cat on Earth" class heavy built classic shedus or extra heavy cats or classic shedu cats with any % of k blood are welcome. Also as and baketora or baketora crosses.
Cats with odd mixtures of blood are welcome too as long as they meet the requirement " more, then 24% of K-blood or baketora blood".

PRIZES ARE GIVEN TO PERSON, WHO CREATES ENTRY FOR THE SHOW AND SUBMITS IT!
PRIZES DIVIDED DEPENDING ON CLASS (of prize) BETWEEN LISTED CHARACTER, CAT AND GOES FOR NAME OF A PERSON WHO SUBMITTED DEVIATION (aka ENTRY).
Any assignable items, such as collars, blinders, treats as and RDs goes to artist, who submitted entry.
AP bonuses, stat boosts and other directly cat-related rewards goes to cat.
Further dividing of prizes among artist and cat`s owner if these are not the same person are up to owner and artist and not a business for group or host of show to take care of.


Each participant  of either haute ecole class or showjumping class or driving class or surviving course will get this participation ribbon and 1 k RDs with it.

THE BEST CAT ON EARTH

Each winner of sub-class get a right for one breeding to one of the komainu starters on conditions, listed in class description.

HAUTE ECOLE CLASS

 Place:

Reference journal for K-mas event 2017
Held in indoor arena, that is suited on first floor of castle grounds.
Arena has white sand, high, but thin stained-glass windows with blue scheme and depictions of golden lions.
Arena is lightened by big round heavy chandeleirs.
Seiling, borders and stone walls are decorated with garlands, red ribbons and branches of christmas trees.

 Time:
Evening. Red sun comes down from it`s daily business in high sky and shine through stained-glass windows.

 Tack and attire:
Any fancy, that would fit high level dressage. Go stylish, rich, royal ; )
However, you can go bareback and brideless, if you wish.
Class is not mandatory is "in saddle". You can perform with your cat in hands.
Airs above the ground is a must.
But in the picture you can show any element you wish.
Any sort of decoration on rider/handler or cat is more, then welcome.

 Art requirements:
Full body, rider/handler is not mandatory to be visible, but it would be good, if they will get into picture, some sort of background must be present.
Art can be coloured or left as finished graphic work.
Feel free to play with style.

SHOWJUMPING

 Place:

Reference journal for K-mas event 2017
Held outside. On the inner castle square.
Square is covered with sand, special mixture of syntetic materials.
Around the place are buildings of castle, lanterns and colourful flags and garlands are hanging around.
In the middle of square there is big xmas tree raised.

 Time:
Late evening. Clear night sky, few clouds and soft quiet snow.

 Tack and attire:
Any fancy, that would fit for jumpinge. Go stylish, rich, royal or any other way you`d like. ; )
Helmets are not mandatory
Any sort of decoration on rider or cat is more, then welcome.

 Art requirements:
Full body, rider must be visible, some sort of background must be present.
Art can be coloured or left as finished graphic work.
Feel free to play with style.

SLEIGH RACING/DRIVING

Place:

Reference journal for K-mas event 2017
Held on frozen lake near castle itself.
Each team needs to complete course of driving obstacles as fast as they can.
Team consist of three people.
Driver and two assistants.
All must be listed in description to an entry.

Time:
Late midday. Sunny. Some clouds and light, soft snow.

Tack and attire:
It`s a sleigh driving. So any type of suitting gear. Decorations are welcome.
You can go single cat driving or use two or three cats. Or even more.

Art requirements:
Full body, driver must be visible, some sort of background must be present.
Art can be coloured or left as finished graphic work.
Feel free to play with style.

SURVIVING COURSE

Thats a special komainu test, that is, actually is a trial not only for cat, but also and for his rider.
This time it is extra long distance of 35 km, that riders need to finish as soon as possible, however, with not getting their cats over limit on it`s condition.
On finish line cat must be fine after 15 minuts rest.
You won`t have a specific course, but "check points" on the territory scattered around.
These checkpoints must be done in strict order, one after another.
Each checkpoint has nothing to do with your endurance pitstops.
Those are specific areas where either cat or rider needs to perform preset actions/complete set tasks.

You start your test... without your komainu.
You need to go through common in military course of obstacles, getting through it within time limit.
After that you`re need to get on your`s komainu back... with no saddle or any tools of control.
Now it`s time to rush to second checkpoint.
Your cat gets some time to catch breath there while you rush to the tent, where sniper riffle is waiting for you.
You need to gather it together while time runs, shoot five targets, get to another tent (it is all in deep snow) so maybe it will be wise to call for your noble mount? Which by the conditions of contest can`t be tied to anything - as u have no tack on him. Only his obedience is the insuarence.
In second tent you`ll find some warmer clothes then just sweater, gear and finally tack for your beast.
Gear up, saddle your beast and rush to third checkpoint.
Thats where your shedu will need to pant a bit - it`s agility course.
But you can`t go this one staying in saddle. Dismount and order the cat to follow your signals. If you use gestures, and stay silent you`ll get more points, next best way is to use natural sounds, worst way to do loud voice clues.
In the end of course your shedu needs to grab special item and bring it to you, going agility course back, not skipping it.
Then you`ll have a really pleasant straight forward way through fields to rush as fast as you can.
Next stop is about staying low with your huge cat. Go through labyrynth of obstacles, avoiding triggering alarms, getting several objects, located all around field of action.
The home stretch is your normal cross country course.

 Place:

Starts at castle gates.
And goes all the way through nearby territories. Mountain slopes, forest, fields, frozen riverbank.
Road also will lead you through local village... You know its not mandatory to use already sat roads when you`re ruding huge freaking lion? ; )
And after field behind the village, road turns back to castle gates, which are the finish line.
It is extremely snowy, frosty, few clouds, bright sun.

 Time:
From 9 am to the last participant finishing his test. Approx till 4-5 P.M.

 Tack and attire:
Rider:
Rider starts up in light outfit, with no really warm upper clothes, except winter boots.
After shooting excersize rider has an option to get warm clothes and some military gear.
Komainu:
Cat starts bareback, with no ammunition on it what so ever, waiting in the end of military obstacles course.
Then participants can saddle up their cats. The tack is one military gear set with saddle bags and flank shields, all this is either white and grey or painted in snow military camuflage.

 Art requirements:
You`ll need to do one main entry, that needs to be full body (your cat and rider), with background, coloured or neat graphic B&W, shaded.

Then you have an option to do several additional pictures:
 1 komainu test
 1 human test
 1 task for both
These additional images must depict different stages of test, that are discribed/offered above.
So, for human test it can be shooting challenge, for komainu - solo agility, for both of them - stealth challenge

These pictures are NOT mandatory.
They must be at least half-body of main character (if it`s solo komainu agility test, we speak about cat, if it`s shooting challenge - then human)
It can be even not coloured, just shaded. Like elegant, accurate sketch.

"Best Cat on Earth"

ATTENTION!!
   DEADLINE: 15th of FEBRUARY
This is the only class in this show, which is open for other cats then komainu and k-crosses or baketoras and their crosses.
Any heavy built classic female shedu cat can enter this class.
Also acceptable:
Cats with extra heavy build, komainu crosses of low percentage of blood, baketoras and baketora crosses.
No k-cross with k-blood % higher then 76 may enter this class!
This is basically your chance to get you a slot to one of komainu starters... for free.
Elseviers are very interested in establishing a 50% and 75% k-cross as separate bodytype. So in their interests to find good cats with fresh blood, who could become good partners to their handsome boys.
Cub(s) will stay with owner of the dam, but owner will have to grant elseviers with one slot per resulting cub to be used on their will.

Place:

This is korung class, that is held in outdoor arena, where showjumping was held.

Time:
Weather is nice, fresh, sunny. It`s middle of the day.

Tack and attire:
Any, that is suitable for serious korung.

Art requirements:
Full body, handler visible. Flatcoloured.
Some sort of background is needed.

LEASING A CAT FOR A SHOW
Conditions:
If a person leases a cat for all of the disciplines and manages to finish all entries in time, they will get a breeding slot to that cat.

If a person leases a cat for just one or several classes, but NOT all, they will get a breeding slot to that cat for each of their placing (grand prix, art master or places from 1 to 3). Or equivalent of that breeding in RDs. ( around 500 000 RDs)

In any case, next conditions are applied:

100 % of RDs prize goes to person, who leases the cat (in case, if team places)
All items can be taken by leaser, except breeder pin.
However training items and custom tack set is staying with the cat, that was leased.
To lease a cat, go to it`s lease LOG and see if any of disciplines are not taken already.
If discipline has APPROVED request for lease - then it is taken (approved request is highlighted as featured comment + here, in journal, discipline marked with red bullet if cat is already taken)
It is not first come, first serve.
So don`t hesitate to post request if there is still no approved one in the log.
